Erik Douthit – Environmental Control
Erik has been with us since the beginning. He was one of the integral members who helped transition sofresh from a tomato grow into a full-time cannabis cultivator. On the farm, Erik is a core member of the team, managing the environmental aspects in all of our growing structures as well as bringing employees together so that the farm feels more like a family.
What motivates you?
My daughter is my primary motivation in life, but I also have pride in my work and enjoy a job well done.
Personal goals?
I would love to travel the world, visiting other cultures and experiencing different ways of life.
Any advice for those just starting out in the cannabis industry?
Contrary to social media, the industry isn’t all ballers and shot-callers. Make sure you’re doing it for love, not money.
What are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to advancements in organic growing techniques along with positive progress in federal cannabis deregulation. I would love for small farms to be able to grow and prosper among the big corporate agriculture.
