Lee DiSanti – Farm Hand/Office Coordinator
Lee has been with sofresh for a little over two years now. She takes care of our plants, ensuring they have proper nutrients—and because of our organic nutes, if anything smells bad on the farm, it’s probably her fault.
What motivates you?
Curiosity. I’m one of those people who asked “why?” way too much as a kid: Why did this deficiency show up? Why did our soil pH change so drastically? Why do the best organic microbial teas smell so bad? Why is ‘add more fish emulsion’ almost always the answer?
Personal goals?
I would love to see/play a part of more cannabis research. This plant has so much potential to completely evolve the way we treat pain, medical complications & mental illnesses. We’ve only scratched the surface here, & there is still so much more for us to learn.
Any advice for those just starting out in the cannabis industry?
Don’t feel limited or constrained. There are SO many possibilities here. Growing is one big experiment, & just when you think you have it down, another curveball thrown in the mix. Don’t be afraid to come at problems from completely new angles because, honestly, you never know what just might work.
What are you looking forward to?
A lot of things. National legalization mostly. Once that happens, it opens up so many possibilities within all realms of this industry.
